Admission and discharge information:
Assessment and admissions:
Self/agency referal can be followed by an onsite visit to our facilities and an opportunity to meet staff and clients. This would be followed by a one to one assessment with one of the admissions team. If the client decides they want to come to ANA and the assessment is positive, they would be involved in deciding on a date for admission. Upon admission, the client would be welcomed, given a chance to meet staff and peers again. New clients will then be allocated a focal counsellor and support peer and shown to their room. A care plan would then be drawn up with the client.
Additional admission services:
ANA provides telephone and prison assessments and opportunities to speak confidentially to staff and residents. We can also offer transportation in some circumstances.
Discharge policies:
Clients will be asked to leave immediately if they:
*Become physically violent or threatening
*Do not remain abstinent
* Do not comply with the programme timetable
