Programme details:
We provide an integrated pathway to recovery starting with detoxification, through primary and secondary stage treatment, into our newly formed Supported Housing Scheme. We offer flexible placements and immediate admissions, tailored to service user and commissioner need.

Our integrative therapeutic model uses evidence based practice, integrating key approaches demonstrated to be most effective in the treatment of addiction including Twelve step, Reality therapy, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, psycho-social education and solution focussed therapy, as well as holistic therapies such as acupuncture and guided Meditation and Mindfulness.

One-to-one counselling is an integral element of the programme and is used to help with other behavioural issues and specific areas of need inclusive of co-dependency, trauma, abuse, anger management and relationships. The PCP therapeutic community model also empowers our service users to develop vital social skills needed to succeed in recovery.
PCP also offers a family support service and provide family based interventions with the service user when required.

We now have a dynamic secondary programme incorporating Equine-assisted therapy, EMDR, yoga therapy and Gym membership

Detox programme details:
All service users are assessed by our consultant detox Dr in combination with our full time Registered Nurse. A reduction regime is drawn up and treatment is planned by the Nurse. Daily drug and alcohol testing during detox is carried out as well as monitoring of blood pressure. Daily withdrawal assessments are carried out by the Nurse. Service users start the rehab element of the programme during detox as it is our experience that engaging the mind and body helps to distract from any physical health symptoms of withdrawal and mental craving. We can facilitate methadone reduction from 70ml, Buprenorphine is preferred detox method for opiates, though clients may prefer to do a total methadone reduction. Chlordiazepoxide is used for alcohol withdrawal. We can also facilitate withdrawal from stimulants and benzodiazepines
