They are encouraged to engage with another service. In some cases the clinic will make appointments for them to see other agencies if they allow us to do so. The clinic also encourages them to attend self-help groups.
Resettlement / after-care services:
The clinic provides aftercare groups weekly for up to one year. This is a one and a half hour group, facilitated by a therapist at no cost. A family support group is also provided for one year at no charge, post-discharge.

How the programme is equipped for dual diagnosis or complex needs:
The clinic has a consultant psychiatrist on its staff. A specific care plan would be designed and reviewed regularly via the nursing team, some of whom are RMNs.

The Priory Clinic Nottingham will exclude clients who:
*are considered to be physically incapable through ill-health
*pose such a threat to themselves or others that they would need to be under secure restraint.

Each individual is assessed for their suitability for the facility. Substance misuse has to be the primary problem. Dual diagnosis, eating disorders etc. are acceptable, but if symptoms progress to an unmanageable stage a client would be reviewed by the psychiatrist and possibly transferred.
