Paul... Leaving the Nest
I came to TTP Bradford 16 days ago, when I stepped through those doors I felt fragile & very vulnerable, just like the eggs we all had to look after. As the pain from the heroin grew weaker, this little egg became stronger & stronger each day, until today. I am strong enough to crack anything. Now free & clean from heroin. I sit here in front of you like a bird of prey, perched on the edge of its nest, I am ready. With thanks to all the staff here at TTP Bradford & all the real friends I have made, you have all helped give me the power & the courage to stay strong, to stay clean. You have armed with the tools. I know where to go & feel. Enough about me, let me spread my wings & fly, fly away. I will be back for a flying visit, one day soon I promise.

I would just like to say a big thank you to all staff for everything you have done. I will miss you all.

CS from Hull... TTP has saved my life
I came to TTP Bradford feeling really low and no confidence. I was on 80mls of methadone and using about 5 bags of gear a day. I’ve done 32 days and I’m clean now, feeling really good in myself and my confidence is back. I look a lot better now, I’ve done detox’s in jails and found them really hard, sometimes suicidal, but here in TTP you are made really welcome by staff and peers. In group talks I learnt loads, letting my emotions out and talking really helps. My key worker, Ricky, is really easy going, he’s got a lot of information to give and I’ve learnt a lot from him. My detox was pretty easy, no major pains, just a few sleepless nights and leg pains. TTP has saved my life, so respect to all staff for all the help and support. I would recommend addicts to come here when they feel ready and not to rush into things. The accommodation and rooms are spot on.

J O'D... My Life Before and During TTP
Before I came to TTP Bradford, I was in a world of mess even though I had my beautiful family around me. I was taking methadone.
